TRANSLATION NOTES:
We acknowledge that due to the nature of translation not every word or meaning can be universally translated. Thus, these translations are not perfect. In reality, a maximal approximation can never be achieved due to the complexity of language, its dependence on constantly changing cultural norms, and because of the human factor.
We also acknowledge that this contemporary language around racial justice, social equity, and anti-blackness, though we believe is pertinent across the world, the specific terminology itself is very much constructed through the framework of Western philosophy and thought. As with the case of how these terms are applied and access, we again acknowledged that many of them are wholly academic terms and are rarely used within the context of daily conversational Khmer.
We recognize these imperfections and welcome your feedback so this can truly be a constantly evolving document.
